Into the Glacier - Waterfalls, hot spring and Langjökull Ice Cave

CERTIFIED OPERATOR     Tour operator: Gray Line     11 hours     Travel method: Bus

On this tour we visit the most powerful hot spring in Europe, Deildartunguhver, and the picturesque Hraunfossar waterfalls; a series of waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming out of a lava field.

From Borgarfjörður the tour continues to Langjökull glacier where you will ride in a specialized 8-wheel-drive truck to the glacier cap and experience the hidden and beautiful blue hues at the heart of the icy mass. As you walk further along the tunnel, the ice gets older and more compressed, and its colour gradually changes from white to deep-blue. Making your way inside the glacier you'll be able to explore various chambers and walk over a huge ice crevasse on a specially constructed bridge.

A complimentary visit to the thermal pool in Húsafell is a perfect ending to this journey of ice caves.
